Key Ingredients/Ingredients
Sodium Hyaluronate
The gentler salt form of hyaluronic acid – smoothes, hydrates, and helps prevent and reduce fine lines and wrinkles
Balance and refresh your skin with Cleure's Alcohol-Free Toner. Our toner gently cleanses away excess dirt and bacteria, minimizes pores, provides refreshing hydration by locking in moisture, and restores pH level. Use after cleansing and before moisturizing for skin that's not too oily, not too dry, and ready to build up a strong barrier to fight off bacteria and free radicals.
What we leave out:
Most toners contain alcohol or witch hazel as the main ingredient which can be too harsh on sensitive skin, cause irritation, and further dry out the skin. On top of that, they're packed with common irritants such as parabens, phthalates, gluten, and fragrance which can lead to flareups of contact dermatitis and other skin conditions. We keep those out for more results with less risk.
What we put in:
We strive for ingredients with intention, and aim to create a hydrating, balancing toner, so we use ingredients such as glycerin and sodium hyaluronate to lock moisture into the outer layer of skin.
How it will benefit you:
Works to clear and minimize pores, remove excess dirt, oil, and makeup, bind moisture to the outer layer of skin, and restore the skin's pH level. You'll be left with skin that's refreshed, hydrated, balanced, and prepared to combat acne and free radicals.
This toner works well to remove makeup residue left on my face after washing. With my skin allergies, it is a safe product for me to use as it does not irritate my skin like the majority of products on the market.
I clean my sensitive skin with Cleure cleanser and toner every morning and have been doing so for years. This product is very gentle on my skin but leave me feeling thoroughly clean and ready to moisturize and get on with my day.
Easy on skin
Cleure’s toner does a fantastic job of toning my pores and is easy on my sensitive skin. I’ve used this product for many years and highly recommend it.
Ingredients changed without warning
I have been using the Cleure toner for a while and recently ordered a new bottle. After using it my eyelids swelled shut which is an allergy response. After the allergic reaction I checked the ingredients and saw that they have changed some ingredients and the new toner now contains sodium benzoate which is a preservative and is also a part of the balsam of Peru contact allergy (one of the most widely suffered contact allergens). I had both the old bottle and the new bottle and I compared ingredients and sure enough ingredients have changed. I should have checked the ingredients before buying each new bottle and that’s on me. I will admit, though, I expected a company who claims to be created with contact allergens, and those who suffer from them, in mind to have the integrity to put an alert on their website next to changed products. Other companies will typically put “New Formula” on both their website and the bottle itself. I had to take dangerous steroids to heal the severe allergic reaction caused by their lack of communication.
great for sensitive skin and those with allergies
This toner and other Cleure products were recommended to me by my allergologist. I am very satisfy with this toner. I use it mostly to remove make up and to refresh my face and neck. I'd LOVE to have a travel size also
Been using for years!
As an elder (70+) who's skin hasn't got the message that it's TOO OLD to have blemishes, this toner helps to keep that problem in check. I like that it's a spray on so I don't have to mess with cotton ball application (am I dating myself?) and has no perfumes. I highly recommend it to anyone and with any other products!
Addition of Sodium Benzoate - cannot use
I have been using this product after a diagnosis of Allergic Contact Dermatitis which has severely limited my personal care product choices. When I reordered, I didn’t catch that the toner was reformulated including the addition of Sodium Benzoate, to which I am highly allergic. I will have to return this product. I appreciate that Cleure makes other products that I can use, Shampoo, Conditioner, and Conditioning Mist. Cleure should highlight “New Formulation” on the product label or on the product page to help those of us who have to constantly study ingredient labels for changes. It’s hard enough to find usable products; then you can’t count on the formulation staying the same.
Beware: Sodium Benzoate
Have used this for years. It now contains sodium benzoate, which many salicylate sensitive people have trouble with as the chemical structure is too similar. I have no idea what I will use now. It seems Cleure keeps adding unsafe ingredients and not listening to customer feedback. If they truly care about sensitive customers, their ingredients are no longer reflecting that.
Wonderful alternative!
I've been using this toner off and on for some years now, and, I can truthfully say this product does the job very well without sensitivity reaction, perfumes, or drying tightness. I would recommend this product to anyone no matter what skin type!
Best Toner I Have Ever Used
This is the 2nd purchase of the Cleure Toner-Alcohol Free for Sensitive Skin, because I am so thrilled with how great my skin feels after I use it. It doesn’t strip my skin or leave it feeling dry. I just love my products from Cleure. I am so grateful for the product line, since I have been diagnosed with ACD and I also have Rosacea! I highly recommend this toner.
Formula Changed
This is a good product, however, with the removal of lactic acid it's not as great as the old formula. I still use it because it's gentle and no irritation but the old formula was more effective for breakouts and brightening the skin.
Toner
I really like this toner. My face feels clean after using it and it helps manage/prevent acne. I have very sensitive skin related to a recent diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis. I have to avoid most ingredients in many products. I can only use hypoallergenic products and even some of those I cant use. This toner does not irritate my skin at all. Im so thankful that I found this product...every Cleure product I have used has been excellent.
Ok
I see no difference with this toner than the Kiels alcohol free toner Ive used for years. I also dont like the spray, so I simply open it and use on a cotton ball.
So moisturizing
I don't know how it does it, but after trying all kinds of different oils and creams over the years, this is the only thing that keeps my skin from drying out. As in, this is ALL I use now for moisturizer and for the first time ever my skin isn't dry. Maybe the size and type of molecules allows them to actually penetrate skin and act as effective humectants? I don't know. But it's a skin saver!
Love it!
I needed a toner to balance my skin's PH after washing. This one is excellent for my sensitive skin with sun damage and rosacea. I apply by spraying it into my hands and pressing it on my face. I won't be without it!
